I WAS 30 WHEN MY ACHILLES TORE. IN FACT IT LOOKED EXACTLY IDENTICAL TO THE WAY YOURS DID IN GAME 5. SUBTRACT THE 20,000 PEOPLE IN AN ARENA AND THE ELIMINATION GAME IN THE FINALS; I WAS ON THE RIGHT ELBOW OUTSIDE THE ARCH TRYING TO TAKE A QUICK STEP PAST A DEFENDER. THAT SPLIT SECOND INTO AN EXPLOSIVE STEP, IT FELT LIKE MY LEG HAD BEEN KICKED.
I found this in my old MacBook, this mix was lost when Mixcrate shut down. Here is a Bay Area classic that I put together with legendary Kool John. This mix features some of the hottest dance classics on the streets at the time this was made (circa 2012).
This party was an idea manifested from twitter conversations between Brandon Fox, Natalieest, and Dre?Who. Big shout out to 111 Minna and TripleDouble for letting us bring this party to life in San Francisco.
Ella Mai has one of the most soothing voices. I instantly fell in love when I heard her for the first time. When Boo'd Up took the radio by storm, I knew that I wanted to flip this track. Big shout out to Reece Beats for sending over a piano sample and to Casual Hxrold for ripping the guitar on the breakdown.
The SwimTeam came out to San Francisco and asked to produce a video with me. I had a lot of fun doing this raw mix, no edits, no secrets! Sure, there are some hiccups in the mix but I think that’s what I like about it so much. Shout out to Catch24 for hooking this up.
